BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and a display device having the same are provided to use no bottom chassis and a middle mold frame for the backlight assembly, thereby decreasing the thickness and weight of the display device. A first lamp is configured to emit light. A first lamp reflector is disposed above the first lamp. The first lamp reflector includes an upper plate(134) having a first stepped portion(134b), a lower plate(133) facing the upper plate with the first lamp therebetween, and a lateral plate(135) connecting the upper plate and the lower plate. A light guiding plate is inserted between the upper plate and the lower plate. An optical sheet is supported by the first stepped portion.
