<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable short-time, efficient, and low cost separation and removal of sulfate ions and chlorine ions contained in river water, geothermal water or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A water purification system for drinking water is equipped with a material separator 4 which introduces water to be treated into a high magnetic field in a superconducting magnet continuously and circularly under pressure, and enables separation of sulfate ions and chlorine ions contained in the water to be treated by high magnetic force. The sulfate ions and chlorine ions separated by the superconducting magnet are captured by an exchangeable adsorption filter made of metallic nonwoven fabric, installed around a magnetic field, and formed in the shape of a mesh, a spiral, or a cylinder. Setting of magnetic field strength of the superconducting magnet is changed with a difference of magnetic susceptibility between a sulfate ion and a chlorine ion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
