A lead frame, an optical coupling part using the same and an optical coupling part manufacturing method are provided to reduce the power applied to a lead pattern by lessening the flow of resin in a lead frame attaching process using a protection lead at both sides of the lead pattern. A lead frame(30) includes a lead pattern and a protection lead. The lead pattern(31) is arranged at a front end face of a molding body. The lead pattern is used for connecting electrically an optical fiber and a photoelectric transformation unit arranged opposite to the optical fiber with each other. The protection lead(32) is formed at both outer sides of the lead pattern. The protection lead is capable of protecting the lead pattern. The protection lead is formed like a beam type structure.
