PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylene-based copolymer that is industrially inexpensively produced, has lightweight and excellent processability and contains a hexagonal crystal under a mild condition at a normal temperature under normal pressure. SOLUTION: The ethylene-based copolymer contains a hexagonal crystal comprising a random repeating unit represented by general formula (1) (mi is an integer of 2-99; an average value <mi>=Σmi/n is 4-18 and all mi values are not the same; the trans structure ratio of vinylene unit in the general formula (1) is≥80%).
