<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an effect of preventing intrusion of water into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: An intake passage P of the internal combustion engine stored in the engine room 15 formed by an engine cover C extends continuously from an intake air inlet Pi to an intake air outlet Pe in the engine room 15 and has a first down passage 62, a reversing passage 63, an up passage 64 and a second down passage 67c which are arranged from an upstream toward a downstream. The combustion air led to flow into from the intake air inlet Pi flows down through the first down passage 62, is reversed from downward to upward through the reversing passage 63, flows up through the up passage 64, reaches higher than the uppermost intake air outlet Pe, and flows down through the second down passage 67c.
