PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of and an apparatus for manufacturing a bottomed-can by which the bottomed-can having uniform wall thickness on the side surface can be formed with few number of processes, namely inexpensively. SOLUTION: A pellet is formed by an impact pushing-out formation (S2) and is formed into a bottomed-intermediate member, and then the bottomed intermediate member is extended in the depth direction by a deep-drawing (S3) to obtain the bottomed-can. In that case, a preliminary formation (S1) for chamfering the blank pellet and forming a recessed part at the center of a surface to be worked is performed prior to the impact pushing-out forming process.
