PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loudspeaker diaphragm and an electrodynamic loudspeaker of an elongated shape being shorter in the short dimension direction than in the long dimension direction, which have a desirable sound reproducing capability with a high efficiency and are not significantly influenced by divided vibrations of the elongated loudspeaker diaphragm, and which are suitably installed in devices such as display devices. SOLUTION: The elongated speaker diaphragm has a reinforcing rib formed continuously on a first diaphragm portion and over each second diaphragm portion. The reinforcing rib includes a long dimension central rib formed on the center of a short dimension direction of a diaphragm body, and two sub-long dimension ribs disposed with the long dimension central rib sandwiched. An end of each of the sub-long dimension ribs are close to the central portion of the short dimension direction of the diaphragm body in the first diaphragm portion and are coupled to the long dimension central rib.
