WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, RECEIVING APPARATUS, AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantity of propagation path information to be fed back, while preventing computational complexity from being increased. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a wireless communication system which includes a transmitting apparatus and a receiving apparatus and in which both the apparatus perform communication in accordance with an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing method, the receiving apparatus includes: a propagation path information reduction means for reducing propagation path information regarding partial subcarriers in propagation path information represented in a frequency domain by subcarrier in a baseband OFDM signal; and a propagation path information transmission means for transmitting propagation path information that has not been reduced by the propagation path information reduction means. The transmitting apparatus includes: a propagation path information estimation means for estimating the propagation path information, that has been reduced by the propagation path information reduction means by performing interpolation on the basis of propagation path information fed from the receiving apparatus; and a power distribution means for performing power distribution to a transmission antenna while using an estimation result of the propagation path information estimation means.
