The length L of a parent billet, the length l and number nB of child billets are determined on the basis of a predetermined tolerance and conditions of a billet heating furnace and rolling equipment. Seamless pipes are manufactured by using those billets. Consequently, energy saving during seamless pipe manufacturing and improved productivity can be achieved. |
