PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoacoustic apparatus capable of suppressing an influence on acquired subject information due to a blood volume inside a blood vessel.SOLUTION: A photoacoustic apparatus comprises: a light irradiation part for irradiating a subject with pulse light a plurality of times; a reception part for receiving a photoacoustic wave generated when the subject is irradiated with the pulse light from the light irradiation part, and outputting a plurality of signals corresponding to the plurality of times of light irradiation; a blood information acquisition part for acquiring information related to a blood volume of the subject; and a subject information acquisition part for acquiring subject information in an area of interest inside the subject based on the plurality of signals. The subject information acquisition part acquires the subject information based on the plurality of signals acquired in a common time period within each variation cycle in variation cycles of the blood volume, which are repeated a plurality of times.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
