PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a split type raceway ring capable of manufacturing a split type raceway ring with high accuracy and at low cost, without depending on thickness dimension tolerance of a raw material.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a split type outer ring 10 includes the steps of: drawing a steel plate to be a plate-like raw material to form a cylindrical raw material 30; and simultaneously piercing two places separating in a circumferential direction of the cylindrical raw material 30 over the entire axial length to form a pair of outer ring split pieces 10a, 10a. The pair of outer ring split pieces 10a, 10a are formed into a cylindrical shape by contacting circumferential end parts 13, 14 with each other. Then, an outer diameter dimension D1 of the cylindrical raw material 30 subjected to drawing is set to a value obtained by dividing a value, which is obtained by adding twice of a circumferential width h of a pierce punch used in piercing to the circumferential length of an outer peripheral surface calculated from an outer diameter design value D0 of the pair of outer ring split pieces 10a, 10a combined in the cylindrical shape, by a circumferential ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
