PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly switch right and left wheels w to a special movement mode such as a lateral direction movement mode with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A steering device 10 includes: tie rods 21 which are connected to the right and left wheels w so as to steer the wheels w rightward and leftward; a pair of special steering rack bars 22 connected to the right and left tie rods 21; special steering pinion gears 23 which are engaged with each of the pair of special steering rack bars 22 so as to move the pair of special steering rack bars 22 in mutually opposite right and left directions; a motor gear 24 which is engaged with the special steering pinion gears 23 so as to transmit driving force of a motor 26 to the special steering pinion gears 23; and a rack case 25 for storing the pair of special steering rack bars 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
