The present invention relates to an elevator counterweight carrying device capable of moving a counterweight along a guide rail for the counterweight when the position of the counterweight is positioned between a standing position and a longitude position. The elevator counterweight carrying device comprises: a rotation guide shoe supporting unit (41) which is installed in a first end portion (109) of the counterweight (103); a rotation axis (43) which is extended from the rotation guide shoe supporting unit (41) to the outside of a width direction; and a rotation guide shoe (44) which is installed in the rotation axis (43) to be rotated based on the rotation axis (43), and is guided by the guide rail for the counterweight (105). The counterweight (103) is elevated by operating a chain block (22) supporting the counterweight (103). When a second end portion (112) of the counterweight (103) is moved along a treadle (12), the rotation guide shoe (44) is rotated based on the rotation axis (43), and is guided by the guide rail (105) for the counterweight.
