The unfurling device (10) comprises: on the one hand, a set of main panels carrying the solar cells, and intended, once the solar generator is unfurled, to be aligned and coplanar and, on the other hand, at least one set of stiffening panels interlinked by at least one hinge, and intended, once the solar generator is unfurled, to be aligned and coplanar. Each of the stiffening panels (12) is linked by at least one hinge to at least one main panel (11) and each of the main panels (11) is linked, by said hinges, to at least one stiffening panel (12), each set formed by a main panel and the stiffening panels linked thereto constituting a cluster, each cluster being linked to each panel succeeding it in a set of stiffening panels by at least two hinges, positioned on two different panels of the cluster. At least one hinge (15) between two stiffening panels is offset by an arm (16). |
