PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing superior in sealing performance, having low friction performance, and capable of shortening a time necessary for a seal lip portion to be properly abraded.SOLUTION: The rolling bearing includes a seal member 5 for sealing a bearing space S formed between inner and outer rings 1, 2. The seal member 5 has a seal lip portion 9 fixed to the outer ring 2 at an outer diameter end, and kept into contact with an outer peripheral face 1b of the inner ring 1 with an interference δ at an inner diameter end side. A tip part 12 of the seal lip portion 9 is composed of a high abrasion material abraded when the bearing is used in a rotating state, to be not kept into contact with the outer peripheral face of the inner ring or is slightly kept into contact with a contact pressure assumed to be zero. An annular oil groove 14 is formed on a face kept into contact with an outer peripheral face 1b of the inner ring 1, of the seal lip portion 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
