PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for electrostatic charge image development that suppresses an influence of environment to provide stable images.SOLUTION: There is provided a carrier for electrostatic charge image development including core particles and a resin coating layer that coats each of the core particles, where the resin coating layer contains a cationic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, and the total content of the cationic surfactant and the anionic surfactant in the resin coating layer is 0.1 to 6.0 mass% of the entire resin coating layer. The content of the anionic surfactant relative to the total content of the cationic surfactant and the anionic surfactant in the resin coating layer is preferably 30 to 95 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
