The present invention relates to a system and method for testing quality of a smartphone application, and more particularly to an open-type quality test system and method for a smartphone application, which publicly recruit testers from users of a smartphone application and test quality of the smartphone application. The open-type quality test system for a smartphone application according to the present invention comprises: a web server which provides services for user registration, user access, quality test request, quality test result viewing and expense calculation via a web browser; an info DB in which client information, information of a project for which a quality test is currently being performed, a tester pool list, tester information, a test equipment list, expense calculation result information, and quality test result information have been stored; an API server which provides services for tester registration, tester access, quality test participation, information viewing, information alarming, and expense calculation via an application installed on smartphones used by testers; a message queue which functions to receive all test logs and error logs generated while the testers perform the quality test and record the logs in a log DB; a log analyzer which analyzes the test logs recorded in the log DB, and records results of the quality test in the info DB; a calculation administrator which calculates expenses for a requester and the individual testers by analyzing information about a quality test request, information about participation of the testers, and the results of the quality test, and records results of the expense calculation in the info DB; the web browser; and the smartphone application.
