CONTAINER FOR PACKED FOOD

PURPOSE:To obtain a container useable in a gas range or microwave oven by a method wherein the paper-made container is provided with fluororesin film on its inner surface to impart thereto water resistance and sodium silicate film on its outer surface to impart thereto incombustibility. CONSTITUTION:A paper-made container 1 for containing packed food such as noodles, gratin and lunch is provided with fluororesin film 2 of its inner surface to impart thereto water resistance and sodium silicate film 3 on its outer surface to impart thereto incombustibility. The fluororesin film 2 is formed from fluororesin by the conventional method so as to have a water resistance of 380-400 seconds with reference to oil resisting rating 9 (per 3M skit process). The sodium silicate film 3 is formed by application of two coats of a 50% solution of sodium silicate No.1. In this way an inexpensive container which can be heated for cooking by a gas range (over an open fire) or microwave oven is obtained.
