<p>PURPOSE:To regulate exhaust speed easily and precisely, by forming an exhaust valve body in the shape of such a cylinder that the surfaces at both ends thereof are opened and the outer and inner peripheral surfaces thereof are respectively formed in the shape of an ellipsoid wherein the central part in axial direction is expanded outward. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust valve body 1 is formed in the shape of a cylinder, of which the peripheral surface is made approximately in an ellipsoid wherein the central part in the axial direction thereof is expanded outward, i.e., in the shape of a so-called beer barrel. Therefore, the opening amount of a slit 2 is regulated when the exhaust valve body 1 is compressed by pushing the opening surfaces at the both ends of the exhaust valve body 1. At that time, the exhaust valve body 1 is deformed similar to the initial form wherein the central part in the axial direction thereof is expanded outward, even if the force of compression is obliquely applied thereto, and thus there is no fear that abnormal deformation such as buckling occurs. In this way, the relation between the compression amount of the exhaust valve body 1 and the opening amount of the slit 2 becomes linear, and thus the opening amount of the slit 2 can be regulated easily and precisely.</p> |
