Disclosed are a message service provision method for providing message service via an open chat room corresponding to link information, and a message server and terminal for performing the message service provision method. Provided is the message service provision method comprising the steps of: transmitting an link information issuance request for an open chat room to a message server via a message application; receiving link information, generated in response to the link information issuance request, from the message server; receiving a sharing request for the link information; posting the link information about the open chat room in response to the sharing request; and chatting with a user of a guest terminal participating in the open chat room via the posted link information; wherein the user of the guest terminal and a user of a host terminal may be users who have subscribed to message service provided via the message server.
