PURPOSE:To securely prevent an inhibited transaction from illegally being performed and improve the security by limiting the kinds of transactions which can be performed by individual operators. CONSTITUTION:The article sale data processor is provided with an operator control table which contains transaction specification information specifying whether or not each transaction can be done by cash codes given to respective clerks. When an IC card is inserted into a card reader 16 and its cash code is inputted, transaction specification information corresponding to the inputted cash code is read out of the operator control table and whether or not various transactions can be done is decided, transaction by transaction. A list of transactions which can be performed is displayed on a display unit 20 according to the decision result and the kinds of the transactions which can be done are limited. |
