<p>PURPOSE: To provide a simple, economical and non-polluting method for reprocessing vanadium contg. residue in the form of aq. slurry by leaching the vanadium contg. residue by means of SO2 introduction, removing insoluble solids and thereafter precipitating the vanadium content in the soln. CONSTITUTION: A vanadium content in a sulfate soln. is precipitated as a tetravalent vanadium compd. at pH 7-9 by addition of an alkali metal hydroxide to be separated from the alkali metal sulfate soln.</p> |
