<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a waiting time in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus provided with a stage and a drawing means, at least one of the stage and the drawing means has a load component generating heat at the time of driving, the load component is temporarily driven after a power source is turned on and the stage and the drawing means are preliminarily heated.
