The binding for a jumping-ski has a two-part (1,2) front ski-boot sole holder holding the ski boot toe and possessing a base part (1) fixed to the ski. A release part (2) in guides (12,13) on the base part can be released crosswise to the ski lengthwise direction and is held by a mechanism (7-9) in its position of use. The release part consists of a guide jaw (3) with tension piece (4) with guide (5). Parallel to the guide jaw are two facing parallel guide flanges (14) cooperating with the base part guides. USE/ADVANTAGE - The ski binding for ski jumping enables the skier to control his skis better and protects him from injury in the case of a fall.
