A casing 23 mounted on a base 20 fixed to a vehicle locates a disc 25 having a series of projections 26 adapted to engage pairs of recesses 31 in a spring pressed thin sheet metal disc 30 movable along a shaft 22 mounting a visor. In a modification the disc 30 and spring 32 are replaced by a sheet spring steel spider 33, Fig. 3 (not shown) having recesses 36 formed in its logs and adapted to engage the projections 26. In another embodiment the disc 25 may also be dispensed with, the necessary projections or recesses for engaging the legs of the spider being provided on the inside of the housing 23. The member 33 may however be associated with the housing 23 and engage with a disc rotating with the shaft 22. In Fig. 4 (not shown) the shaft 22 mounts a spider spring 37 which engages a disc 41 located in the casing 23. |
