The walls of a conduit box have a number of curved bores 26-29 which accommodate U-shaped lugs 36-39 of a detachable cover 15, thus initially allowing the cover a limited rotation until it is fixed permanently by screws (44), Fig. 3 (not shown), which pass through holes 40-43 in the cover, and grip both sides of the bores and the arms of the lugs. In a modification, Fig. 7 (not shown), a temporary cover (160) having tapering pins (165-168) may be attached during a fitting operation of the box, the cover (160) being originally held for storage in recesses (161-164) at the base of the box. In a further modification. Fig. 10 (not shown), the cover may be held by screws engaging in a circular groove (53) of a cylindrical box (49). |
