PURPOSE:To enhance productivity of copies by providing a paper feeding cassette selected by an automatic paper selection function with a paper feeding mechanism in common with a manual insertion paper feeding table, and laying a message for closing the manual insertion paper feeding table when it is opened. CONSTITUTION:In a copying machine, a transfer paper P is fed by a paper feeding roller 116 from either of paper feeding cassettes 115 in an upper and a lower stages or a manual insertion paper feeding table 501, a visible image on a photoconductor drum 101 is transferred onto the transfer paper P and then discharged to a discharge system via a fixing unit 107, change-over claw 131 and the like. A size of the transfer paper P is automatically selected based on a detection result of a document size on a contact glass plate 119 and a conversion magnification. In this case, an automatically selected paper feeding cassette is to use a paper feeding mechanism in common with the manual insertion paper feeding table 501, and when the table 501 is detected in an opened state a message for closing the table 501 is displayed on a display part. |
