Printing ink containing 30-50 parts by wt. of solid fatty acid (pref. stearic acid), 3-10 parts of a solid glyceride (pref. palmitic glyceride or Japanese wax), 2-5 parts of polyvinyl butyral resin, 70-80 parts of colouring materials (pref. titanium white, ultra-marine blue and Prussian blue), and 80-90 parts of a mixture comprising isopropanol and toluene, is applied onto a sheet of paper and dried in air counter-flow at 15-30 degrees C. The resulting self-copying paper has a strong resistance to abrasion, is sensitive to point pressure and does not stain the user's hand or handling. |
