The larger area end of a differential piston 8, 10 is subjected to hydraulic or pneumatic pressure in a cylinder 12 whilst the smaller area end abuts a closed flexible bladder 19 filled with hydraulic fluid and in abutment with a work piston 15. The annular space surrounding piston 11 is vented at 13 and the end of the piston 11 which projects through a fixed cylinder end wall 5 is rounded where it abuts the bladder 19 as is the inner end of piston 15. |
