The conical-roller mill mixes and kneads plastics, particularly thermoplastics, and consists of an annular grinder element, conically shaped at its lower end and eccentrically mounted in the housing. The outer surface of the grinder forms a plasticising gap with the inner wall of the housing. The gap widens as it runs down the length of the housing. The feed-aperture is situated above the widest part of the cone, and is preferably at one side of the housing. |
