<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain low power consumption when an optical disk recorder is adapted for recording an information signal in various types of recording media. <P>SOLUTION: This optical disk recorder for recording an information signal in an optical disk by emitting laser beams is provided with a detecting part 15 for detecting characteristics of a mounted optical disk by a prescribed value obtained from reflected light from the optical disk, a laser beam emitting part 11b for emitting laser beams that irradiate the optical disk, a laser beam driving part 6b for supplying a laser beam driving signal to the laser beam emitting part, a power supply part 3 for supplying driving power to the laser beam driving part, and a control part 15 for variably controlling the voltage of the driving power supplied to the laser beam driving part for each characteristic of the optical disk detected by the detecting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
