<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material which has an ink receiving layer on both surfaces, has high glossiness and photo-like picture quality on one surface, has excellent ink absorbability and writing quality on the other surface, has an aptitude for offset printing, and can be suitably used for a postcard. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording material having the ink receiving layer on both surfaces of a water resistant support is provided with the ink receiving layer (A) composed essentially of inorganic fine particles having an average secondary particle diameter of not larger than 500 nm on one surface (A surface), and with at least two or more ink receiving layers (B) on the other surface, wherein a layer ink receiving layer (B1) nearest to the water resistant support is composed essentially of inorganic fine particles having an average secondary particle diameter of not larger than 500 nm, and the ink receiving layer (B2) remotest from the water resistant support contains synthetic silica having an average secondary particles diameter of 1 to 10 μm and calcium carbonate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
