<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium having imaging properties as good as that of a photographic paper for a silver salt photograph, and obtaining high ink absorbing properties, excellent surface strength and excellent water resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording medium is prepared by successively providing at least an ink absorbing layer and a gloss developing layer, performing coagulation treatment on the gloss expressing layer by using a coagulation liquid, press-contacting it on a heated mirror face drum while it is under a wet condition, and drying and finishing it. This inkjet recording medium is characterized in that the gloss expressing layer comprises at least an acetacetyl group-modified polyvinyl alcohol and an aqueous polyurethane resin as a binder, and the coagulation liquid comprises a crosslinking agent capable of crosslinking with the acetacetyl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
