<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify processes by widening the selective range of materials for a binder resin when a hollow particle layer is laminated, with the enhancement of light resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer image receiving sheet comprising a porous layer and a receptive layer laminated on a base sheet in that order, the base sheet is formed of a resin layer laminated on both surfaces of a paper composed mainly of a wood pulp, and the hollow particle has not more than 5 μm average particle diameter, and further, the receptive layer is formed of an ethylene/vinyl chloride/acrylate copolymer emulsion or an ethylene/vinyl acetate/vinyl chloride copolymer emulsion.
