<p>Cationic starch derivatives are prepared by heating at 70 degrees - 110 degrees C for 0.5 to 5 hours a mixture of 0.5 to 50 parts polyalkylene imine or polyalkylene amine with 60 to 99.5 parts starch, optionally in water. The starch derivatives are useful as flocculating agents, particularly when obtained from potato starch and ethylene imine.</p> |
