PURPOSE:To effectively prevent scooping (filming-out) in a honeycomb carrier for purification of exhaust gas used for carrying a catalyst for purification of exhaust gas, to easily convert a flow of exhaust gas into a turbulent flow and to enhance purifying effect. CONSTITUTION:One beltlike material 1 has one or more corrugated beltlike parts 11, 12 and remaining flat uncorrugated beltlike parts 11', 12' in the longitudinal direction. Another beltlike material 2 has uncorrugated beltlike parts 21', 22' and corrugated beltlike parts 21, 22 in the longitudinal direction so that they confront the corrugated beltlike parts 11, 12 and the uncorrugated beltlike parts 11', 12' of the beltlike material 1, respectively, when the beltlike material 1 is superposed on the beltlike material 2. The beltlike materials 1, 2 are superposed on each other to obtain the objective honeycomb carrier for purification of exhaust gas. |
