<p>1297620 Foundry moulding machines DANSK INDUSTRI SYNDIKAT AS 6 Aug 1970 [28 Aug 1969] 38080/70 Heading B3F [Also in Divisions B5 and B8] In a moulding machine which forms a series of identical mould parts 6 one at a time in a moulding chamber 2 between opposed pattern boards, one of which 3 serves to advance the formed moulds on to a guideway 5 where the mould parts are assembled by pressing together and along which they are intermittently advanced, means are provided to aid the travel of the mould parts along the guideway. The means comprise two rails 9 spaced one each side of the guideway 5 and reciprocable by a piston and cylinder 18, 19 at the same speed as, and in synchronization with, the pattern board 3. The rails 9 run on rollers 10 and are linked by yokes 11 so as to be reciprocable towards and away from each other in order to engage the sides of the mould parts 6 only during the forward reciprocation stroke. In operation, the advancing force of the rails is so adjusted that it would be just inadequate to advance the moulds on the guideway without the force of the pattern board 3.</p> |
