A respirator mask suitable for a surgeon comprises an outer shell (1) having a fastening cord (3) and a deformable nose bar (2), and a detachable inner shell (4) of filter material, both shells being moulded to complementary shapes such that they may be interfitted. As described, the outer shell is of a coarse textured polyamide fabric and supports the inner shell which is of a felt filtering material. The inner shell is said to be disposable after a single use and the outer shell may be used repeatedly. |
