1306840 Rinse additive composition ECONOMICS LABORATORY Inc 23 Oct 1970 [2 Dec 1969] 50529/70 Heading C5D [Also in Division C3] A surface active composition for use as a rinse additive in dishwashing machines comprises (a) a polycondensate of 1 mol. of a tall oil distillate fraction having an acid number not exceeding 170 and 10 to 30 mols. of ethylene oxide and (b) a block polycondensate of 1 mol. of a tall oil distillate fraction having an acid number not exceeding 170, 20 to 40 mols. of ethylene oxide and 20 to 40 mols. of propylene oxide. The tall oil fraction may be tall oil heads comprising fatty acids and rosin acids. Components (a) and (b) may be prepared in the presence of KOH as catalyst.
