Automatic cutting and tinning of metal wires

The wire is guided from a supply roll over a stripping knife which removes the insulation from an area over a tinning bath. A dipping mechanism immerses the wire in the bath for a set time and the wire is then passed to a cutting knife where the tin-plated portion is cut. The areas to be tinned are kept under a set grid-potential.
