Mandrel holder for use in reversing rolling mills, is equipped with radially displaceable locking elements for the automatic locking and releasing of the mandrel in two axially offset positions. This dispenses with the pull-off ring which has usually to be applied for removing the mandrel from the billet, thus shortening the time taken by this operation. |
