Heat developable two-component diazotype materials are prepared by coating a support with an aqueous dispersion of polyvinyl acetate, silica, one or more aliphatic amines and a coupler or coupler generator of formula:- wherein R 1 and R 3 are hydrogen, hydroxyl, alkyl with 1-4 carbon atoms, aralkyl, acetyl, carboxyalkyl or halogen and R 2 is hydrogen, hydroxyl, alkyl, alkoxy or hydroxyalkoxy with 1-4 carbon atoms, carbamoyl, carbamoyloxy, acetoxy, hydroxymethyl, paramethylbenzoyloxy, propionyloxy or sulpho, drying this to form a layer and then applying a layer containing a diazonium compound. The light-sensitive layer may also contain calcium gluconate and dicyandiamide. The diazomium compound may be of one of the formula wherein R 1 and R 2 are hydrogen, alkyl with 1-6 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl with 1-5 carbon atoms, dihydroxyalkyl with 3-5 carbon atoms or benzyl; Y 1 and Y 2 are hydrogen, alkoxy with 1-5 carbon atoms, carboxyl, benzyl or halogen; X is halogen and 2 is hexamethyleneimino morpholino, thiomorpholino, pyrollidino, piperidino and N-(alkyl or hydroxyalkyl) piperazino. |
