摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a rare-earth permanent magnet having superior magnetic properties by a method wherein alloy powder containing R2T14B as its main phase is mixed with R-T-C alloy powder, which has a high R content, is low in melting point and has a large anisotropy. CONSTITUTION:An R-T-B magnet (R: Xwt.%) containing a transition metal T, a rare-earth element R, boron B and carbon C as its main components is manufactured by a powder metallurgy method and in the manufacture, alloy powder obtainable by a method, wherein R-T-B alloy powder (A) containing element R less than Xwt.% and R-T-C alloy powder (B) containing element R excessing Xwt.% are blended and mixed in such a way that the element R is Xwt.%, is used and a rare-earth permanent magnet having a composition that metal T consists of Fe, element R consists of one or both of Nd and Dy, X is 28.0 to 38.0, element R of powder (A) is 23.0 to 32.0wt.%, element R of powder (B) is 54.0 to 90.0wt.% and carbon C of powder (B) is 2.0wt.% or lower is manufactured. Thereby, a sintered material, which is improved its coercive force without reducing a residual magnetic flux density so much and has superior magnetic properties, is obtained.
