1357570 Laminated fabric belt CARL VEIT 19 Aug 1971 [21 Aug 1970] 39050/71 Heading B5N [Also in Division F4] A fabric belt, for use on a machine for drying an endless web of material, comprises a support of multi-filament plastics threads 1 all extending in the same direction, with fleeces 6 needled to one or both sides of the support so that fibres of the fleeces extend between the threads and between the filaments of each thread. The fleeces may be of polyester, polyamide or wool fibres and the threads may be formed from polyester or polyamide filaments. The belt can be formed by first forming a woven support of longitudinal threads 1 and transverse threads of polyvinyl alcohol, attaching the soft fabric(s) then subjecting it to hot water treatment at about 60‹ C. to dissolve the transverse threads. |
