PURPOSE:To reduce the repetition of enlargement/reduction, to attain the low cost of a device, and to prevent the deterioration of a recording picture quality by operating in a lump enlargement/reduction to be operated in a sub-scanning direction at the time of recording operation. CONSTITUTION:Each time a line request LR is issued from a recorder 20, a sub-scanning processing part 14 operates the new input of a picture signal to an N-line line memory 11 and the smoothing processing of a smoothing correcting part 12. And also, each time the number of times of the line request from the recorder 20 reaches the number of times applied by a prescribed arithmetic expression, the sub-scanning processing part 14 controls the input of the picture signal to the N-line line memory 11. That is, the sub-scanning processing part 14 controls each operation of the new input of the picture signal and the smoothing processing based on the line request from the recorder 20 and the number of times of the line request, and controls the number of recording lines in the sub-scanning direction. Therefore, the enlargement/reduction to be operated in the sub-scanning direction can be attained at the time of the recording operation. |
