<p>A lighting device (10) is operative for use as a bookmark and as a reading light. The body (12) of the lighting device (10) is constructed in a substantially flat configuration wherein it can easily be placed between the pages of a book (11) to mark a position therein. The device (10) further includes a slide arm (14) having a light source (16) mounted at the end thereof. The slide arm (14) is slidably movable outwardly of the body (12) wherein the lamps (72) are automatically turned on and positioned over the body (12). For use as a reading light, the body (12) of the device (10) is placed between pages of the book (11), or between one of the covers and the adjacent pages of the book (11), wherein the lights (72) thereof are positioned substantially over the open pages of the book (11) that are being read.</p> |
