1285531 Modified polyurethane foam JOHNSON & JOHNSON 12 Jan 1971 [12 Jan 1970] 1443/71 Headings H1A and A4D A compressed, flexible polyurethane foam has, prior to compression, a thickness of at least <SP>1</SP>/ 32 inch and a pore count of 10-150 pores per linear inch and after compression a thickness <50% of the original, a resistance to splitting of at least 20 p.s.i. in a direction normal to the surface of the web, an extent of elasticity of at least 110% and a 100% modulus of <5 lbs per inch of width. The sheet may be compressed in such a way that the edge portions have a thickness (e.g. 3-6 mil) and the central portion is considerably thicker. Uses.-Conformable pressure sensitive adhesive tape (see Divisions B1-B2). |
