The polyurethane gel usually contains 30-40% by weight of polyurethane and may contain stabilisers, pigments, dyes and up to 30% of polyvinyl chloride. It may be applied by means of a coating knife. The solvent used in the gel may be dimethyl formamide, dimethyl sulphoxide or dimethylacetamide. The polyurethane coating may be further coated with polyurethane and nitrocellulose lacquer.</p> |
