摘要 1389067 Temperature-sensitive resistors W C HERAEUS GmbH 16 March 1972 [16 March 1971] 12479/72 Heading H1K A temperature-measuring resistor comprises a glass or ceramic core 1 in the form of a cylindrical rod, hollow tube, or flat strip and bearing a monofilar or bifilar resistance element 2 formed as a spiral coil or meander-shaped element or as a vapour-deposited coil shape. The core may be profiled to define the shape of the element which may be of platinum. The core and element are embedded in electrically insulating material 3 such as glass (which may be applied in fibre or powder form) or alumina ceramic. The insulant surface is mechanically or chemically roughened and then coated by brushing or immersion with . a suspension of silver, gold, or platinum particles (or of noble metal alloy particles) and a burnt-in layer 4 is formed by firing at a temperature of 300-600‹ C. but lower than the softening point of the insulant. An electro-plated metal layer 5 (of silver or of silver-based alloy) more than 2 Á thick is then provided to enable the resistor to be soldered to the surface the temperature of which is to be measured. A further metal layer 6 (of copper) may first be provided.
