The section is of extruded aluminium, reinforced plastic or aluminium coated with plastic, being for use in a hothouse, factory, etc. It has a plate-type body with an upper groove accommodating the central part of a lipped ruber covering strip, condensate troughs at the lower edge, and supporting flanges for the panes extending to both sides. The lower part of the body (5b) is offset in relation to the upper one (5a), and extends from the underside of one of the pane supporting flanges (9). It has a further set of supporting flanges (11) for double-glazing panes (3). At either side of the top portion of the bottom part of the body ribs (13) are formed to hold the pane brackets in place, similar to those formed at the sides of the top part of the body.
